In July 2015, the Broadway smash musical “Sister Act” will land in Japan for the first time to spread joy in Shibuya. The hit comedy film “Sister Act” (1992) has been transformed into a Broadway musical by producer and original star of the film, Whoopi Goldberg.
The drama begins as Deloris, a nightclub singer, witnesses a murder by her gangster boyfriend. Afraid for her life, she hides out at a convent very much in need. Can the convent be saved? Friendship and power of singing can!
Filled with love, friendship, laughter and thrills, this is indeed a blessed musical!
